Baja Nevada the long way 6/25

Baja Nevada the long way 6/25

We finished the Baja Nevada the long way! The first ever 1,000 mile continuous race in the US!

1,035 miles and 19 hours and 50 minutes later, we crossed the finish line—4th overall UTV and 21st overall out of around 70 trucks, UTVs, Class 1s, and everything else in Group C!

We’re incredibly grateful for everyone who came out to help—14 people chasing us the entire time! We couldn’t have done it without our amazing pit crew, and especially my dad, who prepped the car and spent countless hours in the shop getting us ready.

We had a smooth race overall! I started the race as co-driver with Jared Bryant driving the first 325 miles. Then AJ Hoover and his co-driver took over at Pit 8. Later, Jared and Jahil jumped back in at Pit 17, and I got behind the wheel again at Pit 21 to finish the race! I drove from around 12:30 AM to 5:10 AM—pretty surreal to see two sunsets in one race!

We only had one flat and dealt with a voltage issue that turned out to be just a loose plug—major thanks to the racing community (Randy Adams specifically) for loaning us the voltage regulator off his personal car.
Big shoutout as well to the Can-Am engineers who happened to be onsite and jumped in to help us troubleshoot the voltage problem—we’re super thankful for the support!

Can’t thank everyone enough. See you all at the next VORRA race in August! 🏁🇺🇸
